From a steep, east-facing plot with light, sandy soils scattered with gravelly scree, the 2023 White Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru En Caradeux reveals impressive structure and depth. Aged in 350-liter barrels, one-third of which are new, it’s a richly textured white with expressive aromas of ripe orchard fruits—baked apple, pear, and a touch of citrus zest. Lush and generous on the palate, it shows a sensual, full-bodied character, beautifully balanced by freshness and poised for excellent cellaring. |
