The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Roche de Bellene is an elite house. Its founder, Nicolas Potel, makes some of the most sensual wines in Burgundy. Very old vines, organic farming… are all finely regulated parameters that forge wines of great caliber, filled with sincere and abundant flavors of fruit. The level reached today is simply astonishing, and Olivier Poussier is enthusiastic about each of his wines. Even the regional ones reach an enviable level of quality...
Wine The 2019 red Pommard is already starting to taste very well, carried by very ripe flavors of fruit, a solar dimension without excess. The notes of black cherry and morello cherry reveal themselves in a well-proportioned palate of good density. It is a full-bodied, well-constructed Pommard; a bottle to be enjoyed slowly over 3 to 5 years, rated 92/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermentation under indigenous yeasts, malolactic fermentation carried out in totality.
Aged in oak barrels. Bottled in 2021.
