The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Roche de Bellene is an elite house. Its founder, Nicolas Potel, makes some of the most sensual wines in Burgundy. Very old vines, organic farming… are all finely regulated parameters that forge wines of great caliber, filled with sincere and abundant flavors of fruit.
Wine A blend of three renowned lieux-dits, the 2020 red Beaune 1er Cru opens with beautiful aromas of black cherry and ripe fruit, surrounded by delicate oak, in a solar yet fresh register. The rich, full-bodied structure, in turn, delivers a very fine, precise, and flavorful palate, which stretches out admirably in the finish with plenty of freshness. A very beautiful 1er Cru that can be enjoyed slowly over the decade. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts.
Aged in oak barrels.
