The estate and the wine |

The jewel in the crown of the Rothschild estates (Lafite branch), Château Rieussec enjoys a terroir adjacent to Yquem that places it among the favorites of the Sauternes crus classés. Situated on one of the highest points in the appellation, this 1er Cru classé from the commune of Fargues always impresses with its power and richness, without ever lacking freshness. As such, it makes a wonderful aging wine, accentuating its savory, unctuous profile over time. |

Of great complexity, the 2014 white Château Rieussec Sauternes profiles an ample, creamy wine of great suavity, carried by beautiful notes of candied fruit and candied citrus, relayed by a beautiful vivacity. The result is a pleasant sensation of purity and delicacy that carries through to the delicate palate. Rated 95-97/100 by Parker, this is one of the vintage's great successes. |
