Jean-Noël Millon isn't a newcomer, yet his rise to prominence is relatively recent: La Source du Ruault has recently garnered considerable acclaim and stands out as one of the essentials of the Loire region. With 10 hectares in Saumur, this intimate address, certified organic, is teeming with innovations and is raising its standards vintage after vintage. |

Derived from 80 ares of clay-limestone soils, harvested at high maturity, the 2017 red Saumur-Champigny Senseï reveals itself in great purity, intensely graphite. The fleshy palate, combining a beautiful density of material with perfectly ripe fruit and magnificent freshness, is generous with enveloped tannins, almost velvety. A remarkable 2017, a pinnacle of Cabernet, which undoubtedly will endure the decade! The Selection Committee's Crush rated it 93/100. |
