The estate and the wine |

|
Julien and Clément Raimbault have been acclaimed as one of the finest labels in the Sancerre appellations by critics worldwide. Trained by Vincent Pinard and Alphonse Mellot, the brothers quickly found their own winemaking style, chiseling out wonderfully balanced wines of fabulous purity and execution.
Their 22-hectare vineyard, in organic conversion, occupies mainly hillsides and white soils. This results in red wines of beautiful concentration, with a nice tannic presence that ensures that they age beautifully; and white wines of vibrant definition, that always stay fresh and crisp. |

Suave and very fragrant, the 2020 red Sancerre is a model of juicy and enticing pinot noir. The structure is assertive but not excessive, the fruit fresh and crisp, reminiscent of its cousins in Burgundy! It is a classy red wine, full of elegance and energy, served with great freshness. To be enjoyed within 2 years to savor this exquisite fruit. |
