A rising star in Burgundy, La Sœur Cadette is a confidential address that is going to make a name for itself. Valentin Montanet takes the greatest care of his vineyard, which is organically managed, to produce wines that exude precision and charm.
No yeast, no chaptalization, few sulfites: the methods are simple, suitable for making these particularly flavorful wines. |

The 2019 White Vézelay La Châtelaine is not unlike the chalky, iodized, incisive character of a very fine Chablis. With its beautiful texture, this white wine is full of energy and character. The palate is concentrated, ripe and mineral, with beautiful buttery, brioche notes. A round and tasty wine with a pleasantly saline finish, it is a perfect match for dry cheese or marinated fish. What a delight! Rated 92/100 by the RVF. |
