The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine On the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, the island of Brač is a protected fortress. Facing the city of Split, it is a natural and heavenly setting, where vines, cultivated for five centuries, grow in terraces below the Stipančiċ desert. One of the local varieties, vugava, is a very fragrant white grape reminiscent of viognier and its juicy yellow fruit notes.

This is where the Stina Vino winery is located, propelling a series of original wines, 450 meters above sea level, in the harshness of dizzying slopes, strong winds and sun. Completely renovated ten years ago by its owner Jako Andabak, the winery is now one of the most ambitious in the country and proudly displays wines with preserved indigenous varieties.

Hand-picked, rigorously controlled vinification, aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the fruit: this wine delivers a concentrate of southern flavors, and is a delectable escape to the shores of the Adriatic. Discover it today! We have reserved it for you at the best price.
Wine Very elegant, the 2019 White Vugava Brac offers pretty notes of apricot, flowers and white peach, and above all a lot of finesse, freshness and energy. The island's white stone gives it that unique minerality and salinity, but also preserves a certain density and smoothness on the palate. Finely acidic, sapid, this is a complete, original and tasty white wine, to be enjoyed as an aperitif with a fresh goat cheese, or at the table with grilled fish or all seafood. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested, de-stemmed, temperature controlled maceration, fermentation and maturation for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and 2 additional months in bottles before being marketed.
