The estate and the wine |
The Tenuta il Poggione is an icon of Montalcino and reigns over one of the most famous vineyards in Italy, located in the heart of Tuscany. Nowadays, the Franceschi family is in charge of the estate, which produces a wide range of wines among the most famous in the country and whose aura reaches far beyond its borders.
Each year, the wines are awarded the best awards and this 2017 Brunello is no exception to the rule, rated 94+/100 Parker. |

Boosted by a concentrated vintage, the 2017 red Brunello di Montalcino displays rich notes of black fruit, stone fruit, spice, wood and camphor. Intoxicating aromas that then flow into a concentrated and generous palate, with young and firm tannins, destined to melt away. All the elements of a great wine are present, only time is needed to reveal the full potential of this magnificent bottle. To be kept in the cellar. Rated 94+/100 by Parker. |
