A genius winemaker, Helen Durand has made Domaine du Trapadis a highly sought-after address in the Southern Rhône Valley. Favoring the right maturity of each fruit and of the terroir over technology, he brings out the best of these sunny soils, using biodynamic methods and going against the grain of fashion and of his peers.
He produces profound and flavorful wines, full of crunchy fruity flavors, which are distinguished by a remarkable velvety texture and full freshness. |

Predominantly made from Grenache Noir, the 2019 Red Rasteau Les Cras takes this grape variety to a new level of finesse and accomplishment. Perfectly ripe, carried by an abundance of black fruits (blackberry and blueberry) and smoky accents, it unfolds a full-bodied palate with silky tannins and violet flavors. A convincing and soberly matured ensemble, very harmonious, ready to drink over 5 years. Rated 92/100 by the Committee. |
