Rated 1 star in the RVF Guide, the Domaine La Terrasse d'Elise is one of the Languedoc's finest addresses. On these limestone and pebble terroirs in the Aniane area, Xavier Braujou discreetly produces - and in very small volumes - models of southern wines with great character, always fresh and stunningly fine, totally avant-garde.
His benchmark is none other than Rayas, and when you taste his wines, you can't help but agree! Old gobelet vines, minimal yields, organic and biodynamic farming principles, meticulous cellar work with very little intervention, little extraction and indigenous yeasts, forge wines that stand at the top of Languedoc production. |

Concentrated without excess, the 2020 red IGP Pays d'Hérault Le Pigeonnier is a pure Carignan with finesse and freshness, particularly exemplary in this generous vintage. The aromas of macerated fruit and spices, combined with measured ageing, melt into a superb, dense, velvety palate that remains surprisingly firm and fresh. A born enchanter! |
