A Selection Committee Favorite rated 96/100, the 2021 White Châteauneuf-du-Pape Pure Clairette is a real winner! This pure Clairette wine from a single small parcel is utterly brilliant, carried by a meticulous maturation in Stockinger tuns, demi-muids and barrels, which stretches its texture without constraining it or giving it any woody accent. The result is a wine of great dimension, which opens with a very pure, delicate and floral nose, with an aniseed accent. The palate is remarkable, pure, with a silky touch expressing a lot of freshness. An airy and confidential white wine, to which few have access. |
