The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine This global vineyard legend derives its strength from a place and a family, fervently sought after by enthusiasts from all over the world.

These lands, bathed by the Duero and shaped by an austere climate and skilled hands, indeed forge one of the crown jewels of global viticulture: Vega Sicilia. The Alvarez family has created an icon, linking land, time, and man for eternity.

If these wines rank among the world's viticultural elite, nothing has been left to chance: the barrels are crafted by the estate using their unique methods; the aging processes are extremely lengthy, with some cuvées only reaching the market after waiting up to 10 years.
Wine Considered one of Parker's favorite vintages, the 2011 red Ribera del Duero Vega Sicilia Unico has developed during aging notes of black fruits, undergrowth, and eucalyptus. This vintage, both concentrated, elegant, silky, precise, and deep, is an extraordinary wine. It's a true delight, available only in the greatest vintages! Rated 94/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested, aged in 225-liter French and American oak barrels and 220 hectoliter tuns, then aged in bottles. Bottled in 2017. Marketed after a total duration of almost 10 years.
