The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Mentored by Olivier Jullien of Mas Jullien, Jean-Baptiste Granier has been crafting wine for over 15 years in the Terrasses du Larzac at his estate, Les Vignes Oubliées. His high-altitude parcels in the Saint-Privat area, rooted in schist and sandstone soils, yield exceptional grapes—and the resulting wines are breathtaking in both power and elegance.

These are pure, deeply expressive wines produced in small quantities, cherished by discerning enthusiasts and awarded two stars in the French wine guide RVF.
Wine Showcasing perfectly ripened Grenache from old vines (60%), the 2023 Red Terrasses du Larzac once again delivers an outstanding vintage. This is a wine of brilliance—deep and elegant—with expertly judged aging, silky tannins, and remarkable freshness. Precision is the hallmark here, with enchanting flavors of dark berries and subtle spice. A magnificent bottle that, yet again this vintage, surpasses many of its peers and offers aging potential of 10 years or more. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Partially destemmed and vatted for 15 to 20 days. Aged in demi-muids for 12 months in a natural cave.
