The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Xavier Vignon has done it again! As an international expert and leading advisor to the most successful Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, it is no surprise that Xavier Vignon crafts wines of diabolical precision and of phenomenal quality. It is only logical that he excels in Châteauneuf-du-Pape as well, his favorite terroir.
Wine The 2010 Le Pape Arcane V vintage is the crowning glory of the range; a reference to the main piece of the Tarot deck, the major arcane the Pope, this red wine crowns its appellation with a masterly achievement and a revolutionary process. Indeed, the barrels have been locked in cement vats so as not to let an ounce of oxygen through... For five years!

The result: this blend of Xavier Vignon's best Grenache plots had only one objective: to make the greatest Grenache of a lifetime. It is now done.

Rich, incredibly full-bodied and racy, delivering a beautiful aromatic palette of wild berry and black fruit, flowers and spices, it is a moving ode to Grenache Noir, his unique grape variety. An exotic and singular beauty, an unprecedented achievement, a surge of complex and constantly renewed flavors. A great wine which you will enjoy for a long time to come.
Vinification Manual harvesting, vinification in vats, maturing in barrels enclosed in cement vats for 5 years.
