The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine One of the most renowned signatures of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Xavier Vignon has built a solid reputation thanks to his modern and uncompromising vision of winemaking, becoming his region’s most sought-after wine advisor. Under his tutelage, wines of charm and elegance flourish, and the Grenache grape variety egains its superb quality and depth. The maestro is as precise in his blending as he is in his aging, and he marks his own wines with diabolical precision.
Wine Close to perfection, the 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Anonyme is a demonstration of power and finesse. Superimposing with accuracy an impressive structure, silky tannins and a magical persistence, it abounds with notes of black fruits, still mixed with a vanilla and toasted accent. This monumental wine is built to last, we can only wait to enjoy it to its full potential. A major success rated 95-97/100 by Parker, reserved at a unique price for our members only!
Vinification "Impossible to give the exact blend of this wine which comes from "collection vines", where many grape varieties are complemented: century-old Grenache, Vaccarèse, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Terret Noir and Muscardin". Hand harvested, traditional vinification, aged in quarters: 25% in demi-muids, 25% in barrels, 25% in truncated wooden vats, 25% in concrete vats.
