The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Another masterstroke from Xavier Vignon! An internationally renowned expert and key advisor behind some of the greatest successes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Xavier brings his signature precision to his own wines—and in 2022, he delivers a stunning Red Lirac, hailed by the Selection Committee.

Lirac is a terroir with immense untapped potential. For years, top négociants have sourced grapes here to elevate their Côtes-du-Rhône wines… So it’s only a matter of time before these generous lands get the spotlight they deserve from an increasingly savvy wine-drinking public.
Wine A blend of 60% Grenache and Syrah, sourced from 15 carefully selected parcels across the appellation, the 2022 Red Lirac opens with inviting aromas of dark fruit, juicy cherry, and delicate spice. The ripeness is perfectly judged, supported by beautifully restrained aging that brings polish without excess. The palate is both concentrated and silky, with ultra-fine tannins carrying those delicious flavors through to a finish marked by a fresh burst of spice. A wine of natural charm and finesse—with outstanding value to match. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Long maceration without mechanical extraction. Grenache aged in concrete vats, 30% of the Syrah aged in unheated barrels for 12 months.
