The estate and the wine |

|
Combining the luscious fruitiness of well-ripened Cabernets with the charming civility of barrel vinification, Yannick and Benoît Amirault continue their exciting exploration of Loire reds through organic farming.
Established nearly a century ago on the limestone terroirs of the Loire, their 19-hectare estate produces wines under the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellations, aged in barrels or sandstone jars.
Awarded 2 stars in the RVF Guide, these perfectionists achieve the perfect resonance, combining a heritage of old vines with flawless virtuosity, creating great wines with penetrating freshness. |

A favorite of the Selection Committee, rated 93/100, the 2023 Red Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil La Source opens with a very pure nose, both concentrated and ripe, with charming notes of graphite and black fruits. The structure offers an absolutely perfect texture, dense, mouthwatering, and tight, with fine tannins. A model Cabernet to enjoy over the next 6 to 8 years. |
