The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Located in the heart of Provence, Château Simone is an exceptional vineyard. An estate whose white wine has earned the distinction of “greatest white wine of the Mediterranean” on several occasions. An unsurprising feat for this wine which is racy, deep and complex, bottling all of Provence’s warmth and conviviality. Their red and rosé wines are just as gorgeous, the perfect representation of this terroir’s full-bodied spirit and generous style.

Nowadays, Château Simone is undoubtedly one of the most famous and sought-after wines of Provence. Freed from any invasive technicality, their wines are precise marqueurs of their exceptional terroirs, filled with all the flavors from the south.

These wines, named “Grands Carmes”, pay tribute to the monks who lived in the ancient bastide on the estate. These wines are exclusively reserved for our Valap members!
Wine Faithful representation of all the assets of the Mediterranean terroir, the 2019 Red IGP Pays des Bouches-du-Rhône Les Grands Carmes is yet another success on this very beautiful vintage. This wine has subtle and complex aromas, oscillating between garrigue, olive and fresh fruits and a concentrated, intense and rich structure marked by smooth tannins. A beautiful bottle to keep for some years in the cellar or to enjoy immediately with a thick pork chop or a lamb shoulder confit. An amazing bottle, not to be missed!
Vinification Hand harvested and destemmed, aged on fine lees for 14 months in small oak barrels.
