Wine:

Generous and fruity, the 2015 Red Monthélie Sous Roches delivers a bright version of a pinot noir, in a half-powered style. Its freshness, its still juvenile red fruit notes and its ease compose a clever balance between finesse and consistency. A godsend for this great vintage! It can already be enjoyed paired with a roasted white meat.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, 100% de-stemmed, maceration in open vats for 3 to 4 weeks, punching of the cap twice a day during fermentation, aged for 18 months in oak barrels from the cooperage of the estate, 1/3 of which are new.

Color:

Ruby, bright.

Nose:

Notes of red fruits, raspberry underlined by a touch of fine wood.

Palate:

Of a disconcerting freshness, this half-power wine seduces by the coherence of its beautiful interpretation of the pinot noir grape, appreciated for its elegance.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roasted Bresse chicken, pan-fried veal chop, coq au vin.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2025
