Wine:

The 1999 Montus Prestige can easily compete with the finest Bordeaux. Blind tastings consistently confirm that the Prestige cuvées consistently outshine some of the most prestigious names on the planet. Today, the 1999 Montus Prestige is entering the early stages of its most beautiful years of evolution. The spectacular dimension of its personality is fully revealed. The nose is marked by hints of Morello cherry and cigar box. The palate is very generous, and the wonderfully velvety texture enchants us with black fruits and spices. Deep, long, smooth, and intense, this cuvée perhaps conveys the message that in Madiran, one can reach the pinnacle of the wine world.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand, macerated for 3 to 6 weeks, aged in new oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.

Garnet-red in color with hints of tile.

Nose:

Nose marked by morello cherry and brown tobacco aromas.

Palate:

Deep, opulent palate with discreet fruit and undergrowth notes. A velvety-textured wine of atypical character, much sought-after by cigar aficionados.
