The estate and the wine |
Scottish Master of Wine Norrel Robertson—nicknamed *El Escocés Volante*—founded this small estate in the rugged hills of Aragón. A top-tier winemaker, he sources grapes from tiny, high-altitude plots tucked away in the mountains, working with seriously old vines. Over time, the range has grown to include parcel-specific wines, some made without any added sulphites. |

Opening with gorgeous aromas of rosemary and eucalyptus, the 2021 Red Calatayud Manga del Brujo is a beautifully crafted Mediterranean wine. Juicy, balanced, and dense, it delivers generous fruit flavours—cherry, black pepper, a hint of smoke—and finishes with a long, herbaceous lift. A perfect match for game or grilled red meat. Rated 92/100 by both the Selection Committee and the Parker Guide. |
