Wine:

A masterpiece, true to its inimitable style, the Champagne Krug Grande Cuvée 170th edition is a tremendous success. Conceived on the basis of the 2014 harvest, this champagne comes alive with beautiful tension, with flavors of dried and ripe fruits, cereals, and wheat. Delicate and chiseled, it is an extremely elegant version of the Grande Cuvée, as irresistible as ever, a great champagne with a long and sapid finish. Rated 95/100 RVF and 95/100 Parker.

Vinification:

Made up of 195 wines from twelve different years with the oldest from 1998 and the youngest from 2014. The bottles have rested for about 7 years in the cellar.

Color:

Pale gold with fine lively bubbles.

Nose:

Aromas of flowers, ripe, candied and dried citrus fruits, as well as marzipan and gingerbread.

Palate:

Notes of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, fruit and citrus jelly, almond, brioche and honey explode in the palate.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitif, cream and salmon egg toast, tempura of prawns, grilled scampi, roasted turbot, truffle and artichoke, Comté, Parmigiano reggiano.
