Aberlour Casg Annamh, from the Gaelic word for "rare cask", is a tribute to the expertise of the house around the Sherry cask. Very complex, the nose is dominated by aromas of candied cherry, orange and raisins, supported by a touch of ginger. The palate offers a rich palette of blackberry and peach flavors, all enhanced by a spicy frame, between licorice and cinnamon. A great homogeneity emerges from this powerful body. The finish is sweet and fruity and extends for a long time, leaving us with an incredibly rich finish.

Elaboration:

Barley harvested within a radius of about 24 km from the distillery, aged exclusively in the best Oloroso Sherry casks.

Color:

Bright amber with golden highlights.

Nose:

Aromas of candied cherry, orange and raisins supported by a touch of ginger.

Palate:

Complex, homogeneous and of an unequalled richness. With a generous and powerful body, this whisky opens on beautiful flavors of blackberry and peach raised by a spicy frame between licorice and cinnamon. The finish extends wonderfully on sweet and fruity notes.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, as a digestive, served alone or with a red meat, a grilled fish or a Comté 36 months. For water lovers, in addition to their whisky tasting, we suggest a still, neutral and fresh spring water.

Aberlour is the absolute leader in Single Malts and one of the greatest names in Scotch whisky. This model House, established since 1879 at the northern tip of the British Isles, at the mouth (aber) of the river, cultivates very high quality with wines of high integrity.
