Wine:

A pure expression of Sangiovese, the 2015 Red Chianti Classico Badia a Passignano Gran Selezione delivers itself admirably today, driven by a straightforward, bright, fruity character and a delicate constitution. The warm vintage and the aging in Hungarian barrels of 300 to 500 liters compose a luxurious wine, smooth and polished, very well proportioned, and balanced by beautiful natural acidity. The black fruits and spices are present, merging in a full and fresh palate with great persistence. A model of Chianti, reserved for the best price! Rated 94/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. The berries are carefully selected after destemming. Traditional vinification, fermentation for about 10 days. The juices are separated into batches according to their origin and then aged for 12 months in Hungarian and French oak barrels. Blending of the different batches and bottling before the marketing of this wine.
