Wine:

A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2020 red Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva is an intense wine, driven by highly expressive fruit, with fragrant flowers, fine spices and red berries. These aromas are followed by an extremely smooth, pure structure, with melted, vibrant tannins that express great energy. Aged in barrels without new wood, the wine offers pure, radiant fruit, and its subtle perfumes linger right through to the soft, silky finish. A model Chianti!

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Grapes destemmed. Traditional vinification. Aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months. Bottled for a further 12 months before release.

Color:

Intense, brilliant ruby red.

Nose:

Fine red fruit aromas accented by floral notes of mallow and lavender.

Palate:

Smooth and tasty, the palate is persistent with ripe red fruit flavors underlined by a spicy, peppery, cocoa-flavored structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Osso Bucco, poultry liver fricassee, antipastis, farmhouse brie.
