Wine:

Intense and complex, from a fine vintage marked by warmth and dryness, the 2022 Toscana IGT Villa Antinori Red is once again a triumph. A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers beautiful red fruit flavours, especially cherry, along with a touch of spice, vanilla, and hazelnut from its barrel ageing. The palate is supple and generous, with delicate tannins that keep it fresh and full of flavour. A fleshy yet refined wine that remains wonderfully approachable.

Vinification:

Hand-picked harvest. Total destemming. Traditional vinification. Matured in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Bottled from July 2024.

Intense and brilliant ruby red.

Nose:

Intensely fruity with red fruit aromas and notes of spice, vanilla and hazelnut.

Palate:

A generous, savoury structure, carried by bright freshness and smooth, velvety tannins.

Temperature:

Serve at 14 to 16°C.

Meatloaf, rigatoni with beef and dried herbs, lasagne Bolognese.
