A wine rated 94/100 by our Committee!

Wine:

From a parcel at the lower part of the village, the 2021 Red Gevrey-Chambertin  delivers a deep, aromatic, and beautifully ripe expression. Dark berry and violet notes are enhanced by a touch of spice, while the subtle oak aging adds depth without overpowering the wine’s purity. With great structure, superb balance, and a long, fresh finish, this is a brilliant reflection of both terroir and vintage.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, 16-day maceration in open stainless steel vats, aged 16 months in French oak barrels (30% new), bottled unfined with light filtration.

Color:

Ruby red with garnet highlights.

Nose:

Lovely fruity bouquet with notes of wild strawberry, plum and cherry, underlined by well-controlled oak and a touch of spice.

Palate:

Structured and well-balanced, this wine offers deep, fragrant juice, perfectly ripe and flavorful, with supple tannins and a long, fresh persistence.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Preferably red meats: partridge with cabbage, pike-perch with red wine, monkfish matelote, duck with red butter.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2031 and beyond for enthusiasts
