Wine:

A blend of Grenache and Syrah, the 2018 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Quartz is a radiant wine of great character. For all that, it remains very elegant, like all the wines of the estate that have this infused and delicate style that we love so much. The notes of black fruits and spices, of beautiful maturity, are mixed in the nose and in the palate with a lot of softness and suavity. Nothing imposes itself, everything slides with harmony, between velvety tannins and a superb finish punctuated by notes of violet. A bottle of great class to be tasted today or that can wait another 5 to 8 years. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 94/100 and 95/100 by Parker.

A must-have address, prized by Robert Parker and located in the first circle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape references, Le Clos du Caillou shines by its constancy and the irrefutable quality of its wines.

Neighboring Château Rayas, the estate favors the essential expression of its terroirs, accompanying its wines with a modern vinification, brilliantly directed by Sylvie Vacheron.
