Wine:

Juicy and fruity, the 2020 Red Côtes-du-Rhône is unmistakably made from Grenache, which makes up the majority of the blend. This wine has been aged in concrete tanks in order to preserve the freshness and delicacy of this very rich vintage. Therefore, the spices and macerated fruits take place in a full and rich palata of good balance, with a lot of freshness; a wine of a very high level to drink or to keep for 5 to 6 years more.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. 100% whole bunches, light crushing, vinification in vats for 20 days for the Syrah and 21 days for the other grape varieties with temperature control and daily pumping over. Aged after blending in concrete vats. No filtration or fining. Bottling at the estate at the end of February 2022, beginning of March 2022 and marketing from April 2022. Certified organic wine.

Virtuoso of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Charvin estate has been able to impose its vision and forge wines that are beautiful and faithful expressions of their terroir. Passionate and pragmatic, Laurent Charvin quickly took the path of organic viticulture, turning towards what is simplest, or in other words, the most natural, techniques. Using the whole harvest also gives the wines a remarkable silkiness, combined with highly complex aromas.

Considered an Olivier Poussier favorite, awarded 2 stars in the French RVF Green Guide and rightly acclaimed by wine lovers, Laurent Charvin is a reference of the winemaking world, imposing his refined style over the course of several vintages. Of course, his bottles are highly sought after and are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
