From the mid-slope of Restigné, vinified gently, the 2015 red Bourgueil Bretêche displays a magnificent velvety palate. Revealing a nervous, stony sap with ideal tannin mellowness, it begins to unfold its energy and black fruit flavors well. A bottle of high quality to be reserved for a veal chop with herbs or a long-simmered lamb shoulder. Rated 93/100 RVF.

Rated 2 stars by the French RVF wine guide, the Domaine de la Chevalerie is one of the references of Bourgueil, undoubtedly the most exciting estate at the moment.  A fully biodynamic vineyard where the Cabernet Franc reaches a peak of precision, finesse, and freshness.

Each wine gently captures all the nuances of the sand, clay, and limestone terroirs of the Restigné hillsides that make up the estate. These are absolute references of Bourgueil that highlight the fine and cold austerity of the Cabernet Franc grape by giving it an absolutely magnificent texture.
