Wine:

The 2022 white Bandol needs to be aired a little first (decanted or served in tall glasses), because after a while it reveals its full aromatic potential, with aromas of fruit and flowers and hints of restrained ageing. This fresh, delicate ensemble continues on the palate, with a dynamic, precise, salivating structure that should be served quite chilled, as it proudly displays its fatness and generosity. A rare and discreet appellation to discover with monkfish or sea bass, meunière or grilled. Drink over three years or more for connoisseurs.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, totally destemmed. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in stainless steel vats.

Organic wine, certified by Ecocert.

Color:

Bright, light yellow.

Nose:

Fresh and delicate, with aromas of fruit and yellow flowers, underlined by sober ageing.

Palate:

Dynamic and precise, this wine reveals a dry, salivating Bandol with long-lasting aromas and a rich palate.

Temperature:

Decant before serving between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

A fish: monkfish, salmon, cod or sea bass, simply meunière or grilled, would be the perfect companion!

Cellar aging:

From now until 2026 and beyond for enthusiasts

A flagship of the Provence region, with 1 star in the RVF Guide, the Domaine de la Bégude has its own style, like no other. Recently taken over by Christian Roulleau, owner of Château Dauzac in Margaux, this vineyard is constantly raising its standards to produce great terroir wines.

With the highest vines in the Bandol appellation, at an altitude of 410 meters, and organic farming, the estate profiles wines with a unique character that not even the big names in the sector come close to.
