Grosset is the wine of Jeffrey Grosset, an estate founded in 1981 in Auburn in the Clare Valley, about 100 km north of Adelaide. Just over twenty hectares of vines, all organically grown, with 3 plots of Riesling and one of Cabernet Sauvignon. Springvale is a vineyard at an altitude of 460 meters, on a limestone and slate substratum. The Riesling varieties are both German and French. We were very surprised by the quality of the wines from this estate. Here's their Clare Valley Riesling, an Australian nugget to be savored today!
