Wine:

More than convincing, the 2016 White Arbois Vin Jaune is a benchmark for this iconic oxidative style. From old vines rooted in powerful marl soils, this fully matured wine delivers all the biscuit, spice, and complexity the grape can offer—layered with lemony flavours, walnut, almond, green apple, and cumin-like spice. Driven by a commanding acid backbone, it bursts with power and length, combining intense freshness with remarkable texture. Rated 95/100 by the Parker Guide.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Old vines. Lias marl soils. Whole grapes pressed in a pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation in vats using indigenous yeasts. Entonnage in the estate's attics. Aged for 6 years in 228-liter barrels in a cool cellar. Production of 5,178 bottles.

Temperature:

Serve between 18 and 20°C.

Food and wine pairing:
