The 2021 red Minervois Cazelles L'O de la Vie is rated 93/100 and opens with a very fragrant, fresh, and mature nose, with notes of soot, bacon, and toast on a background of wild blackberries. Still very young, it is already quite open, showing a tasty palate that confirms the good maturity of the harvest with smooth tannins. It is a rich and powerful wine, but one that lacks neither elegance nor class and is a great credit to its appellation.Vinification:

An accomplished Burgundy winemaker, Anne Gros is one of the grand dames of Vosne-Romanée. She has also set her sights on the Minervois region in France, working on its limestone and sandstone soils to create balanced wines with the same exacting standards as her Burgundian counterparts.
Together with her husband, Jean-Paul Tollot, they have mastered the grape varieties of the region and produced the ultimate precise, delicate, and elegant red wines.
