Wine:

The 2022 red Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Riotte comes from vines planted in 1959, just below Clos Saint-Denis, on an exceptionally stony soil. This prime location shapes a generous wine with a sharp, mineral edge, expressive and full of energy, offering both indulgence and seriousness. Bright cherry flavors and crisp, crunchy tannins come together in a fresh, vibrant whole that is wonderfully generous and complete, with an invigorating character. A superb bottle to enjoy over the next decade, or to cellar for even longer. Awarded 94/100 by the French wine guide RVF.

Vinification:

Vines planted in 1959. Located at the foot of Clos Saint Denis, on a gentle slope, with a clay-limestone soil composed of numerous small pebbles. Hand harvested.

Certified organic wine.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast beef in a herb crust, roast duckling, lamb shank confit, pheasant casserole, matured farmhouse Saint-Nectaire.

From today until 2032, and even more for enthusiasts.
