Wine:

Rich in flavour, refined, and effortlessly drinkable, the 2022 Terrasses du Larzac Terre de Jonquières Red offers a clear, honest expression of the appellation. This is a pure, finely textured red, driven by dark berry aromas and a subtle hint of violet. Its elegant sapidity, delicate tannins, and well-balanced structure—shaped by aging in large-format oak vessels (500L demi-muids and foudres, which allow gentle oxygenation without overt wood influence)—come together in a wine that’s both deep, sun-kissed, and remarkably refined.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged by plot-based wine for 12 months in demi-muids, then blended and aged for a further 4 months in stainless steel vats.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Deep, intense red.

Nose:

Expressive, with aromas of tart black fruits, violets and crème de cassis.

Palate:

A delicate structure with fine, silky tannins, recognizing the warmth of the terroir and its solar character.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Herb-crusted prime rib, lamb stew, roast free-range guinea fowl, game dishes.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030 and beyond for enthusiasts.
