Wine:

With beautiful elegance and style, the 2013 Rosé Extra-Brut Grand Vintage Rosé Champagne plays with nuanced and well-rounded flavors at this stage. Macerated red fruits, notes of candied oranges, a subtle evolution on spices and cinnamon take place in a softened frame, with a delicate foam and a beautiful tasty length. This is a typical Bouzy pinot noir, with an undeniable wild strawberry accent! Rated 92/100 RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, matured for 7 years in the cellar, minimum 6 months of ageing after disgorgement.

Dosage : 5 g/l.

Color:

Bright light pink with orange autumnal shades.

Nose:

Flavors of red berries (wild strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate seed) followed by tangy notes of blood orange and starfruit and finally nuances of spices, dried flowers and fresh leather.

Palate:

Fleshy and dense, this Champagne reveals a powerful aspect marked by crisp stone fruits with a slightly astringent finish on notes of pink grapefruit and lime peel.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Rosé d'apéritif, salmon terrine with citrus fruits, snacked scallops, Maltese sauce, Ispahan dessert (rose, raspberry, lychee), red meats, extra-aged mimolette.

Cellar aging:

As of now and over three years for enthusiasts

Moët & Chandon, the flagship Champagne house founded in Epernay in 1743, is today the largest producer of Champagne wines, notably thanks to its brut Impérial champagne, which represents the bulk of its production.

With the assurance of selected supplies and ultra-modern winemaking techniques led by the excellent cellar master Benoît Gouez, the House continues to please the world with creamy champagnes of great aromatic precision, with toasty and lemony notes.
