Glenmorangie's Limited Edition "A Tale of the Forest" is a Single Malt of a new kind. The nose opens with a scent of cookie, cream and vegetal with juniper and coriander notes before being joined by aromas of cherry and chestnut and a delicate touch of smoke. Biting and peppery, the palate carries an explosion of flavors: peppermint, eucalyptus, pine, wood sap, angelica, bitter orange and a hint of smoked wood. It continues with a sweet and bitter flavor of oak tannin, accompanied by vanilla and anise. The long, lingering finish offers tangy citrus notes.
