Introduced by Edouard Martell in 1912, the Cordon Bleu Cognac has become synonymous with the Maison, quickly achieving international acclaim for its unique taste, which owes much to the influence of the eaux-de-vie from the Borderies. It presents a coppery hue with golden reflections, and its bouquet bursts with notes of apple, candied plum, and roasted almond. This is complemented by an elegant palate marked by finesse and smoothness. The complex hints of fruits and delicate spices further elevate this ethereal aromatic profile, striking a perfect balance between suppleness and potency. Truly, a delightful experience!

Elaboration:

Grapes from the Borderies Cru, distillation of the clear wines (free of sediment and impurities) in the traditional copper still, aging in delicate French oak barrels, blending and storage in "dames-jeannes".

Color:

Dark golden color with coppery highlights.

Nose:

Orchard fruit aromas (plum and apple) punctuated by roasted notes of mocha coffee, roasted almond and vetiver, as well as candied orange, cinnamon, honey and beeswax.

Palate:

A sensation of roundness and mellowness, underlined by the elegance of Borderies eaux-de-vie. The finish is long on the palate, with fruity, spicy notes of plum, candied orange and cinnamon.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
