Wine:
The 2019 Red Cairanne is one of the most exciting wines of the moment. The Grenache is fully expressed through floral notes, peony in particular, but also red fruit and pepper. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and dense without lacking in freshness; it is a wine that offers blatant similarities with a Châteauneuf-du-Pape, particularly with its bitter cocoa flavors. Served slightly chilled, it will pair perfectly with a leg of venison or a rib of beef. Rated 93/100 by the Committee and 90/100 by Parker.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Vines aged from 20 to 40 years. Clay and limestone soil. Maceration of about 3 weeks with daily pumping over and racking. Maturation 90% in vats and 10% in barrels of 2 to 3 wines.Color:
Very dark red, brilliant, some carmine reflections.Nose:
Marked by Grenache with a strong concentration of peony, red pit fruits, with aeration spicy and peppery notes.Palate:
Full-bodied and rich, with a nice balance between density and freshness, this wine offers similarities with a Châteauneuf-du-Pape by its bitter cocoa flavors.
Temperature:

Hearty dishes, game, hunting dishes, leg of venison at 7 o'clock, rib of beef in herb crust.Cellar aging:
From now until 2027
Patrick Lesec is the kind of talent capable of producing state-of-the-art wines on exciting and widely different terroirs. His secret? Selecting the best grapes from the best producers, whether in the Rhône Valley or in Burgundy.
Having worked in the restaurant business and in California, this outstanding wine merchant can count on his impeccable taste to select the most ambitious wines, blending them and then aging them to perfection. With very little sulfur or filtration, these wines preserve as much of their nature as possible and beautifully transcribe the identity of each terroir.
Little known by the general public, it has convinced our Committee, which rates this Cairanne 93/100, one of the most exciting and fashionable terroirs of the moment among wine lovers. Don't delay, because at this price, it's a bargain!
