Wine:

Crafted from young Syrah vines, the 2018 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Les Lézardes Red brings together parcels located just outside the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The nose is delicate, with notes of red berries and violet, accented by a subtle smoky hint as it opens up. With a savoury, generous style that has gained polish with a few years of bottle age, this is a medium-bodied, approachable wine—an ideal introduction to the René Rostaing signature.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from young vines on the estate. Partial destemming of around 60% of the harvest, fermentation in stainless steel vats for 4 to 5 weeks with regular pumping over. Aged for just under 11 months in demi-muids, 5 to 10% of which are new.

Color:

Bright violet red.

Nose:

Aromas of red berries mingled with notes of violet and a hint of smoke.

Palate:

This flavorful and generous wine delivers a medium-bodied palate, making it an excellent introduction to the estate's wines. It's undoubtedly a wine for immediate enjoyment.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
