The Red 2019 Douro DO Xisto Illimitado shines with density and precision. At once pure and concentrated, with notes of black fruit and soot, it releases an acidic imprint that is completely disarming. A very exciting wine of supreme balance! It can be kept easily for 7 to 10 years, a wine rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee.Vinification:
Hand harvested from vines of different varieties, located in vineyards in Ervedosa do Douro and Cotas, aged between 25 and 60 years, planted in "Patamares" and large terraces, at an altitude between 400 and 550 meters, clay soil with predominance of yellow slate. Fermentation 100% in whole bunches: 40% in stone lagars for 8 to 10 days with foot treading and 60% in stainless steel tanks for 20 to 30 days. Aged in used French oak barrels for 14 months.Color:

Impeccably pure, perfectly placed fruit with concentration, abundant dark fruit aromas mixed with sooty notes.Palate:
The palate shines by its density, the aromas the fruit, and its slightly acidic imprint . A very convincing and exciting young wine.
