Wine:

The 2022 Red Gigondas is a standout from this balanced and complete vintage. It opens with precise aromas of ripe strawberry and juicy red fruits, complemented by a concentrated, full-bodied texture. The quality of the harvest shines in its depth and structure, with fine tannins and a vibrant freshness that lift the palate. This wine offers both power and finesse, making it an excellent choice for pairing with game dishes. Vinification:

Hand harvested. 80% de-stemming, traditional vinification. Aged in vats for 12 months, then 6 to 8 months in oak tuns.

Deep garnet red.

Nose:

Subtle aromas of crushed strawberry and red berry notes are lifted by delicate hints of spice.

Palate:

The palate is full and refined, with a rich, well-rounded texture. Fine, concentrated tannins provide structure, leading to a long, elegant finish.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

A hidden gem of Gigondas, Domaine du Terme has been in the hands of the Gaudin family for five generations. Tucked away at the “terminus” of the former Principality of Orange to which Gigondas once belonged, the vineyard stretches across a plateau at 200 meters of altitude.

Its 11 contiguous hectares produce tender, beautifully balanced wines, aged simply in tanks and large wooden casks. No tricks here — just the terroir speaking clearly and the fruit shining through.
