Wine:

The 2018 Red Pessac-Léognan Lagrave-Martillac offers a powerful and full-bodied character, carried by beautiful aromas of black fruits, and hint of violets and pepper. It is a complete, fine and fresh wine, a perfect ambassador of the Pessac-Léognan terroir. Its supple tannins and savory finish make it already irresistible, but it can be kept for another decade.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (25% new).

Color:

Garnet red of beautiful intensity.

Nose:

Violet aromas mixed with black fruit and fine peppery notes.

Palate:

Fine and powerful at the same time, this wine is the perfect ambassador of its terroir,. It will delight you with its supple tannins and its lengthy finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled red meat, roasted lamb, duck with spices.

Château Latour-Martillac is a still family-owned estate praised for its unfailing regularity and style.
