Wine:

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Traditional vinification, malolactic fermentation in vats and barrels. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels (50% new wood) and foudre.

Color:

Deep, intense red.

Nose:

Fine aromas of red and black fruits with a halo of spicy undertones and freshness.

Palate:

Supple, rich and complex, we appreciate the velvety, integrated tannins amid fresh red fruit flavors and a pleasantly spicy finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Leg of lamb, beef cheeks confit with sun-dried tomatoes, filet mignon en croute, baked lamb mouse and fricassee of heirloom vegetables.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030 and beyond for enthusiasts

This global vineyard legend derives its strength from a place and a family, fervently sought after by enthusiasts from all over the world.

These lands, bathed by the Duero and shaped by an austere climate and skilled hands, indeed forge one of the crown jewels of global viticulture: Vega Sicilia. The Alvarez family has created an icon, linking land, time, and man for eternity.

If these wines rank among the world's viticultural elite, nothing has been left to chance: the barrels are crafted by the estate using their unique methods; the aging processes are extremely lengthy, with some cuvées only reaching the market after waiting up to 10 years.
