One of the most modern distilleries in the world, Midleton produces a range of unique Irish whiskeys. The Mitchell family—now represented by Jonathan and his son Robert—has carried on this two-century-old tradition across seven generations, crafting long-aged whiskeys with secret blends.

Originally, Red Spot was a mark used to identify barrels of different ages; the Mitchells painted a colored dot on the casks to distinguish them and indicate their aging potential.

Aged in three different types of casks—bourbon, sherry, and malaga—the Yellow Spot 12-Year-Old Whiskey is unfiltered, revealing aromas of freshly cut hay, freshly ground black pepper, red bell pepper, and nutmeg.
