Wine:

The 2021 Barossa Valley The Steading Red is arguably one of the estate’s most compelling wines for its price. This beautifully ripe Syrah bursts with dark fruit and spice—think black cherry, wild blackberry, cardamom, and a touch of smokiness. Silky, supple tannins and a refined, layered palate make it utterly delicious and perfectly balanced. A standout expression of both grape and terroir, crafted from a cooler vintage with excellent aging potential — easily 10 years or more. Rated 95/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested from vines aged between 40 and 150 years old. Aged for 20 months on fine lees in 4,500-litre French oak casks, malolactic fermentation.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
