Wine:

From 4 hectares of 60- to 80-year-old vines, the 2023 Fleurie Clos du Pavillon Red is an estate monopole with outstanding potential, carefully matured in large wooden casks to build depth without overshadowing its character. Here, the focus is on beautifully refined tannins and a vibrant, mouthwatering expression of Gamay—qualities that shine brilliantly in this vintage. The nose is lifted and expressive, with spicy, peppery nuances and aromas of candied cherry and sugared strawberry. The palate is structured and generous, offering dense, fleshy texture and impressive volume. A distinctive wine with excellent aging potential. Selected as the Favorite of the Selection Committee by Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World, and rated 93/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Sulphur-free vinification, semi-carbonic maceration of whole grapes for 15 days, gentle extraction, natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 15 months in oak casks.
Vines aged between 60 and 80 years old on 4 hectares, soil: quartz and decomposed pink granite, clay veins, very sandy.

Wine in conversion to organic farming.

Color:

Dark ruby red, bright and beautifully intense.
