A guiding figure of Beaujolais, Marcel Lapierre influenced an entire generation of winemakers and wine lovers, sparking a new movement of joyful, fruit-driven wines and laying the foundations of today’s enthusiasm for so-called natural wines.
Starting in 1981, he chose to vinify without sulfur or added yeasts, cultivating his vines biodynamically without chemical fertilizers or herbicides — a heresy at the time.
Today, his son Mathieu and daughter Camille carry on the mission, caring meticulously for the vines and producing wines that are ripe, expressive, and precise. The range is both indulgent and refreshing, earning 1 star in the prestigious French wine guide RVF.
